  • IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: CHANGE OF BAR IN THE SAME  VENUE

Forbidden City, IndoChine, has two bars. Bamboo Bar an  Alfresco chllout Bar and Bar CoCoon, indoor bar with dance floor.

I planed to have our event at Bamboo Bar.  Thanks for your very good response. The Management of Forbidden City felt that Bamboo Bar is too crowed for our event. Hence they invited me to have my event in Bar CoCoon wih a capacity of more than 400 pax. Hence now we will have our event at Bar CoCoon instead of Bamboo Bar.

    • Please take note of the following:

      1. At the registration counter in the venue, inform the personnel that you are a newbie. You will be given a star sticker. Please wear that sticker.
      2. Come early to make more friends and participate in ice-breaking games(optional).Time is 7.00pm-8.00pm. Be realistic. Please do not come between 7.00pm-8.00pm with the high hope that you will be introduced to all or majority of the attendees. After initial introduction, kindly make your own effort to mingle with others.
      3. A corner of the venue is reserved for newbies. Look out for signage with words “Newbie Corner”. Please proceed to that corner.
      4. Since all the members in the corner are newbies with star stickers, it is easy to make friends.
      5. If you want to be introduced, please do approach the organisers and express your wish to be introduced. Please do not assume that because you are a newbie, you will be introduced to others automatically. FYI, some of the newbies prefer to go around and meet members of their choice by themselves.
      6. If you come after 8pm, kindly understand that organisers have practical problems in introducing you to others. By 8pm, most of the members have already formed small or big groups and will be having their lively conversation among themselves and do not want to be disturbed by the way of introduction of late-comers.
      7. After you make friends with newbies at “Newbie Corner”, move to the rest of the venue to make friends with my regular members.
      8. If you are still not sure of how it works, please contact Organiser during the event
      9. Kindly note that introduction of newbies is only one of the important work and organizers have also other important work like meeting and greeting regular members etc.. It is noticed that some newbies demand it their right that they be introduced immediately even when organizers are busy. Such newbies will be asked to leave the event and will not be allowed in future event.

      Question:
My work will end late ... Can I get there by 8pm ?
