The Power of Words and the Power of Suggestions- Get out of your Mind!

Topic of Conversation:

How do words and suggestions take hold in our minds and affect us?

How do we get out of our minds and live a life- a fulfilling life that we deserve?

At this meet up, we will be focusing on the power of words and the power of suggestions. You will be amazed to learn all the different ways in which the power of words and the power of suggestions have played a great role in shaping their lives.

Come and learn how words and suggestions can both be helpful as well as impede our success.

Come and learn to identify the kinds of suggestions that we may meet even in our daily life and how you can avoid being negatively influenced.

Learn how suggestible you are!

Learn how we are being bombarded by suggestions all the time, both good and bad and how we are being conditioned unconsciously. Learn how you can enhance the power of suggetions in your life so as to have a more rewarding experience. This is one meeting no one should miss!

We have decided to make this meeting more interactive so that everyone can share their ideas. The tentative agenda for the evening is as follows:

7 pm:      Registration and Refreshments (You may pay S$10 at the door.).

7.30 pm: Interactive Talk/ Discussion about the Topic of the Evening

8.40 pm: Group Hypnosis Session

9 pm:       Networking time for everyone to mingle and get to know one another

9.30 pm: Time to say goodbye

Please take note that we are charging a token of S$10 for this event so that we can continue to upkeep this website and so that we can continue to come up with new and interesting ways to learn about the mind and how it works.

Refreshments will be provided.

All the best! See you soon!

I wish to thank all those who came to this meetup and shared wholeheartedly. I wish to thank Rahmat and Noraini especially for opening up and sharing much. And I also wish to thank Benwinner for coming although it was his birthday that day. And Justin, Marcus and Nizam too. We hope to have you at our meetups more often so that we can learn from one another. I wish to thank Nipa too for her valuable input and help during all our meetups. And she is the one working behind the scene as well welcoming our HypnoFriends when they sign up.

Thanks Fauziah for your compliment. Actually, I did have more thoughts about the exercise you did but I was not sure if I am in any position to give my thoughts and ideas about it. If you wish to hear them then please drop a whatsapp or message to me.

Q: Can a person sleep when being hypnotized and how does the hypnotist tell the difference?

It is possible for some people to drift into sleep during a hypnosis session but in our kind of work, this is hardly a problem because our methods require them to be either signalling to us through ideo-motor signalling and also connecting with us through hypnotic dialogue sessions. It is true that some hypnotists merely read out scripts and this can lead a client to fall asleep, but like I said, in our branch of hypnotherapy, we are in constant contact with our clients and we can tell when they are not responding. Anyway, we again have techniques to determine if they are sleeping or deep in hypnosis.

Hi Charlie, there is a word limit to answers so I shall be continuing with my answers to your questions here.
Q: How do you tell that a person is not in a state of hypnosis, and can one pretend to be hypnotized.
A properly trained hypnotist will be able to tell if the person is pretending to be hypnotized or if he or she is really in a state of hypnosis. We have covert tests to determine the depth level of hypnosis. Anyway, if a person wants to pretend, that is fine because after some time, he or she will drift into hypnosis as we proceed with our techniques.

Hi Charlie, how are you? Thanks for posting these questions. Allow me to answer them:
    1. How a person feels is something only that person will know, because it is part of his or her unconscious mind. People in the normal waking state may often be unaware when they are absorbing suggestions unconsciously. However in a hypnotic state a person is more aware and will be aware of suggestions given and received. 2. A person in hypnosis may be suggestible but this does not equate to being gullible. People can be gullible even when they are not in hypnosis. Suggestibility and gullibility are two different things. A person who is gullible may accept suggestions that may not be beneficial to him or her as the person is easily swayed by suggestions. However when a person is suggestible, he or she has willingly agreed to allow the suggestions to sink in as they are beneficial. And if they encounter unacceptable suggestions, they can easily reject them. As all hypnosis is self hypnosis.

What differences does a person feels when a suggestion is given when in a) normal state and b) hypnotic state?

Does being suggestible means that a person is gullible?

How do you tell that a person is not in a state of hypnosis, and can one pretend to be hypnotized.

Can a person sleep when being hypnotized and how does the hypnotist tell the difference?

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
