Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is a 2004 American romantic science fiction film about an estranged couple who have each other erased from their memories, scripted by Charlie Kaufman and directed by the French director, Michel Gondry. The film uses elements of science fiction, psychological thriller, and nonlinear narrative to explore the nature of memory and romantic love.[1] It opened in North America on March 19, 2004, and grossed over US$70 million worldwide.[2]

MOVIE INFO

Jim Carrey stars as Joel Barish, a man who is informed that his ex-girlfriend Clementine (Kate Winslet) has had her memories of their relationship erased from her brain via an experimental procedure performed by Dr. Mierzwiak (Tom Wilkinson). Not to be outdone, Joel decides to have the same procedure done to himself. As Mierzwiak's bumbling underlings Stan (Mark Ruffalo) and Patrick (Elijah Wood) perform the operation on Joel -- over the course of an evening, in his apartment -- Joel struggles in his own mind to save the memories of Clementine from being deleted. Kirsten Dunst, David Cross, and Jane Adams also star. ~ Matthew Tobey, Rovi

  • Marrie L.

Thanks Petrine... I can hold it in my office if it's 20 or less as my office is not very big... we will have to see among the tables and chairs... Unless someone has a more conducive place to share?

I am sorry I can't seem to get an original copy of the film in Singapore besides the HD one which will not play on my dvd player. Is there anyone here in the group who may have one?

Hi all, does anyone know about the legal stuff regarding showing of movies to a small group. I have not done this before but I do not want to get on the wrong side of the law. Can anyone comment? Tks

Seen this movie quite a few years ago. Not the easiest movie to understand & appreciate. Will be interesting to rewatch it again & see what I have missed out the last time.
