I've been away but now back. We agreed this topic about 2 months ago. Please come and debate this controversial proposition - why should or shouldn't you be free to sell parts of your body?

The conclusions we reached and mostly agreed on were:1) organ sale should be permitted by law but only to state organ banks;2)compensation to donors would be set at a level which would bring supply and demand into balance;3) recipients should pay only the medical costs of organs;[and a final addition] 4) these arrangements may only be possible in a well organized and strongly anti-corruption state such as Singapore. The final round of comments showed that there remain some doubts about the detail. But we were surprisingly united in our views, this time.
