What's your purpose for joining this group?

There was a time where what i really wanted more than anything else was to discover the truth about the mysteries of the universe. Is there a god? Why am I here? Is there a reason for everything or is the universe just meaningless and absurd?

Why do you think there is a need to have a meetup to discuss philosophy in Singapore?

All of my peers have one track thinking. They can only see things in black and white. Society has programmed them to go to school, get a job, find a partner, have children and be normal. Anybody who deviates from this path is ostracize or criticize. To me, there are a lot of people in the world who are stuck in "Plato's Cave" and are too dependent on the "cave" and would rather stay in the cave than to ascend from it.

What are your other less usual hobbies, other than common sports, watching TV, shopping, movies and fashion?

Reading Philosophy, Watching Philosophical movies. Some of my favorite philosophers are Nietzsche, Sartre, Camus, Kant and Aristotle. I love the Matrix, Inception and Watchmen. Some less mainstream flicks i like are When Nietzsche Wept and the Fountain.

Life is a never-ending defeat.
