What's your purpose for joining this group?

I was a Philosophy minor at university and am still (occasionally) preoccupied with a raft of philosophical questions. I would like to meet and discuss these questions with those who have the same interests.

Why do you think there is a need to have a meetup to discuss philosophy in Singapore?

"The unexamined life is not worth living"? I feel that many people here assiduously avoid examine their lives at deeper philosophical level . I'm sure there are quite a few people who share my uneasiness with this mentality.

What are your other less usual hobbies, other than common sports, watching TV, shopping, movies and fashion?

Involvement in environmental issues? Listening to jazz and classical music? I don't know how unusual these pursuits are, but they're not mentioned in your above list.

I am a professional writer and editor. I am the director of my own small company, Rally Writing & Editing Services.

What Richard L. is saying about this Meetup Group

From this first meeting that I've attended, I would say it's a good group. It's encouraging to meet up with a largish group of people who are intelligent, highly informed and interested in philosophical questions. And, perhaps most importantly, people who were willing to hear out and respectfully consider the views of the others put forward during the meeting.
