Hike - Canal Tow Path from West Trenton to Washington Crossing Park

Sunday's weather report says sunny and 58 degrees which should make for a perfect hiking day. Join me at 10:30 a.m. for an approximately 6.5 mile hike from the Scudder Falls access tow path entrance on River Road (Route 175 North) and straight to Washington Crossing Park. Pack a lunch and we will stop at the park for a picnic lunch, and then head back.

DIRECTIONS:  Take Route 29 North and make a right at the traffic light onto 175/West Upper Ferry Rd (Villa Victoria is on corner). Make. first left onto 175 North, (River Rd) and follow past the NJ State Police entrance, Scudder Falls entrance will be on left.

From 95/295: Take 95/295 and get off at Exit 1, follow signs for NJ State Police Museum (River Rd.), towpath entrance will be on right.

No need to reply "not going."  Thanks much!

For GPS, use 1 River Rd., West Trenton (Ewing Twp.) 08628.  That will direct you the State Police Headquarters, entrance for towpath is North of there on left.

Here is a link showing some maps, the entrance is listed on the Southern entrance map.

Hello Bess. Looking forward to this hike. How long would you say it would take to complete this hike including lunch? My son has a game and I need to be back by 2:30 pm. I live in Lawrence. Not sure if you have hiked this trail before. Thanks.

Is it going to be a bicycle friendly trail?
I am thinking about bringing my city bike just in a case.
