An Afternoon of Jazz with Anthony Branker and Word Play

Join us for an afternoon of wonderful jazz with one of today’s best composers, Anthony Branker. Branker is an award-winning musician and the head of the Jazz Program at Princeton University. Word Play features: David Binney (alto saxophone), Ralph Bowen (tenor & soprano saxophone), Conrad Herwig (trombone), Jim Ridl (piano), Kenny Davis (bass), Donald Edwards (drums), Renato Thoms (congas), and Alison Crockett (vocals).

For samples of work from his previous albums:

Cost: Free
The performance starts at 3 pm. Let’s meet at 2:45 pm.

If there is interest, we can grab hot chocolate or something else afterwards.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
