Whether you're a single mom by choice or by circumstance, you are part of a growing demographic. Only single moms understand the joys and challenges of being a single mom. This group is meant as a vehicle for single moms to meet other single moms through fun outings with and without the kids, potlucks, conversation amongst ourselves, mom's night out, wine tastings, trips to museums/zoos/parks, and other adventures that we, as a group, can think of. We will aim to do lots of free or low cost events. I believe that each single mom has a talent that she can bring to the group. For example, I can teach you and your kids how to fish without using worms. Come have fun with us and share your talents with other single moms. All moms are welcome at all events, with or without children on the day of events.

Actual outings in the past have included trips to Longwood Gardens, Morris & Tyler Arboretums, Academy of Natural Science and Hagley Museum, Curtis Institute of Music, Camden Riversharks, potlucks, wine- and wine &  cheese tastings, outdoor summer concerts, mom's night out, coffee & conversation, and bowling. There is a balance of events with kids and events without kids. Most events are on the weekends but we throw in a weekday event every so often.

We want moms who will add value to the group, not lurkers in our group. Thus, these rules have been established in consultation with active members of the group for the benefit of everyone.

--You must have a photo that clearly shows your face and maintain a photo to remain in the group. We hold many events with children and safety is a priority.

-- Two  (2) NO shows without a text/call on the day of the event before the start time means you can be dismissed from the group.

--$5 annual dues payable at your first event (good for 1 year, based upon your entry date to the group). There is an additional 95 cents cost if you choose to pay online. Dues help offset the cost of using the meetup website. There are no additional fees for events.

--Be an active participant. For the numerically minded: you must attend at least 2 events a year. To make real connections with other moms, more frequent attendance is better.

--Rules are subject to modifications as necessary to the group.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
