Everyone eats dinner! Everyone loves pizza!
Dinner's a perfect time to...
Yay! Meet 'n Greet!
FYI: The dinner will be in conjunction with 2 other meetup groups and approximately 35 - 40 people will be attending! A perfect opportunity to meet new people and tell them all about SMR!
Do the Happy Dance
New? Timid about joining for the first time? --> check out the reviews! Now that you're coming, see how to find us above!
Want to show what your hair REALLY looks like? Prove you have ankles and knees? That you really do wear makeup? (oh yeah, that might generate a comment from Grizz and Ron ;)
Come to Mountain Mike's Pizza, Tomorrow, Thursday, May 9!
Better yet, our fun will even be helping a cause. Not that we actually ever need a cause to have fun. Dinner, new people to meet, old friends to greet and pizza sure livens up a Thursday! See you there!
Click here to print your flyer to help the cause. Don't forget to bring it! See my new meetup group site, Our Girl Jen.
I'm looking forward to meeting new members and seeing everyone!
On a personal note: Jennifer Juanes is my daughter-in-law's sister and was only 20 years old when diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in 2006. After undergoing 9 months of chemotherapy, Jen was in remission. But in 2009, Jen relapsed and underwent a stem cell transplant in January 2010. After five months of fighting for her life, Jen lost her battle on May 19, 2010, at the age of 24.
Jennifer was an amazing young woman, born and raised in Sunnyvale and graduated from Fremont High School in 2004. She played softball for many years, making every All-Star team and selected for All-League in high school. Needless to say, her presence on the mound was undeniable! She was incredibly feisty, lovable, loyal, smart and insanely funny, with the heart of a tiger and remained relentless through rain and shine. Jennifer loved her family and will be remembered for her courage and her beautiful smile. Although Jen has passed, the family continues to honor her in raising money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Last year they were the 2nd place team in the friends and family division, raising over $25K.
