I have traveled to many places and ready to see asia, australia, south pacific & south america. My motto is "have passport, will travel." Retired and moved to valley 6 years ago from CT. I'm ready to meet like-minded people.
I just wrote you a long message and it didn't sent but lost everything I wrote. I hoped you enjoyed the dim sum yesterday at Phoenix Palace, I was really bummed out for not being to join you there. My husband and I go to this Japanese place all the time, it's called Taiko 1909 E. Ray Rd., Chandler 85225. Husband and wife owned small biz, might not be able to fill too many people in there. The price is very reasonable for their combos. Have a Happy Holiday!
Hi Rose, I was part of the planning meeting for family camp and everyone there wants to know if you can attend camp this year.
They would greatly appreciate your attendance and input. Please let Pastor Mary know if you can attend.
I greatly appreciate the carpool but had to change my RSVP, a family emergency came up and I won't be in town. Hope everyone has a wonderful time!
Thank you so much Rose! I am looking forward to meet you. I work until 6 pm every Saturday, but if you ever meet up for dinner I will gladly join. Have lots of fu fu for me on Saturday, I love it!
Welcome aboard. See you May 7th.
Hi, Rose, it looks like I won't be at lunch today. I have a bad cold and have canceled my weekend plans. I don't have many suggestions for Scottsdale right now, but some further afield if you let me know how far you're willing to go. Would members consider Chinese family style, everyone pays a cut and shares all (y'know, on the lazy susan)? Got a couple of good ones for those. Many others central, west, north. & south--just not Scottsdale. Too $$, too Americanized. Hope you pick Chou's, sharing.
Hi, Rose, if I can switch my Sat. lunch appt to Fri. I will join you. Otherwise, will send a list of restaurants. Unfortunately, two of my favorites in south Scottsdale have closed. Will have to put my thinking cap on! One place that I highly recommend is Chou's Kitchen in Chandler, preferably family style (we each get to try everything and split the check--usually around $13 incl. tax & tip for a huge assortment of goodies). Nothing exotic, just really good authentic northern Chinese food.
Sounds like a plan! I'm flexible (except: no mornings), but Sun. afternoon would probably be more available than Sat. afternoon. So many Meetups, so little time! ;-)
Hi, Rose, re the Chompie's meeting: I wouldn't ordinarily go that far for a Chompie's (I have one within 2 miles of home), but might we have a meeting of the organizers included? I'd like to meet the others (saw a couple had signed up already for this event) and maybe we could agree on some guidelines for proposing and hosting meetings. For that, I'd make the trip.
Hello Rose, We have not met but hope to soon. I am having eye surgery on Wed. Jan 9 and several post ops after that so will be here and there for a few weeks.I will be going to the Red Mtn. Senior Center on Wed. to play Hand & Foot at 12:30-3PM. Hope to get with it soon and meet all you 'fun' gals. Madeline
