TEDtalk Discussions

  • March 17, 2013 · 7:00 PM

TEDTalks are 10-20 min. vignettes of world-class speakers sharing their cutting edge ideas on a wide range of topics such as psychology, advertising, technology, science, social trends, business, music, etc.  Check out TED.com or the talks on YouTube for examples.

The location is my house in Roseville.  I'll e-mail directions at least 1 day ahead of time, along w/the title of the talk.  People are welcome to view the talk ahead of time, if they like, but there is no expectation of that.

We'll start watching the talk around 7:30pm, & then discuss it for a half hour/45 min.  Afterward, people are welcome to stick around for more conversation.  I will serve tea & coffee.  You are welcome to bring something to eat or drink for yourself, or to share- but only if you want to.  These evenings will be more about "food for thought".  I welcome your suggestions for TEDtalks!  So please let me know if you have any.

There are often people on the Waiting List.  Please change your RSVP by noon the day before, if you find you won't make it.  You are encouraged to bring slippers or thick socks, as I have wood floors & do ask people to remove their shoes.  Please come in through the open garage, & up the stairs.  No need to knock- just come on in.

I have adopted a couple rescue cats, who are too timid to show their cute faces.  However, if you have allergies, be ye warned.

Join in when you can!  Share if/when you like! Hope to see you there!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
