I joined Single Again in mid-July 2010, in Columbia/Ellicott City. The group has proved invaluable to me in my healing process. I also have gotten much from being a facilitator. The opportunity to see people grow, in their time of grief is rewarding.
Single Again has been called a lifesaver by many who have attended and I agree! I joined the Columbia group in the summer of 2010 and it has been a great resource to help me deal with my divorce through the whole process, from the raw emotions, the week after I was separated, through signing the Separation Agreement, the divorce becoming final, selling the house, buying a condo, moving. Separating and divorcing is overwhelming and Single Again was an invaluable resource for me. The group has been supporting members since 1991 in Cockeysville and Towson. Kathy Sirota, our coordinator, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker - Certified (LCSW-C). She authors and presents topics that show a way to first cope, and in time thrive in a time that is crushingly devastating, but also becomes a time of profound personal growth. If you are suffering, I urge you to attend. Come to 4 meetings or more to get a good flavor of what the group offers. I'll tell you the support you can get is invaluable!
