Hi and welcome, this group is open to all pregnant women and moms but it is especially targeted to single women who are expecting or recently had/adopted their first child in the Chicago area and are preparing to deliver and raise a baby without a partner. Not-so-recent moms with experience and advice are also very welcome. This group will hopefully connect online and meet in the  Chicago and near suburban area to share experiences, lessons, laughter, tears, joy and support.

The group requires a brief introduction with your reasons for joining and a commitment to respectful, non-judgmental, and supportive participation. The organizer is non-religious, over 35 and a proud single mom since January 2011 and also hopes to connect with moms with experience going through pregnancy and single parenthood at any age - please join or contact directly if you would like to connect.

Any parent raising or expecting a child alone is a parent "by choice" and that choice is not always easy and not always accepted by others.  This group celebrates those who make the decision to take responsibily for a child's wellbeing and happiness at any stage in life.

Respectful, open-minded partners of members and male friends/allies in non-traditional and/or otherwise single parenting situations may be considered for membership or inclusion at events on a case-by-case basis.
