Hi Folks--for Jews who don't have a place to go and would like a foodie Passover experience, and for non-Jews who would like to experience the joys and tastes of Passover Seder, Equinox Restaurant (owned by Todd and Ellen Gray, authors of the New Jewish Table cookbook), will be hosting a seder. The event is a benefit for Arcadia Farms.
You must purchase tickets in order to RSVP for this meetup. Tickets are $100 each and include dinner and a Passover service.
Description from the site below:
The New Jewish Table
Join Arcadia to celebrate the Passover feast -- and the passing of winter -- at DC's only farm-to-table seder, to be held on the first night of Passover. Away from home for the holiday? Or curious about this ages-old Jewish ritual? There can be no better way to celebrate and learn than from two of the greatest culinary influencers in Washington, D.C.: Chef Todd Gray and Ellen Kassoff Gray. Sit down with fellow food fans for this this participatory dinner, and dig into the symbolic Passover dishes that are beloved and time-honored … but given a modern twist. Come with old friends, make new ones, and become part of a new expression of ancient tradition. The Grays are the powers behind Equinox and Muse, and Todd is the culinary director of Sheila Johnson's new Salamander Resort & Spa. The Grays will prepare three courses from their book The New Jewish Table: Modern Seasonal Recipes for Traditional Dishes. Feel free to bring their book for their signature, and copies will be available for purchase that night.
