Camp out at Hanging Rock

A once a year opportunity to camp overnight at Hanging Rock.

The SES is there with a BBQ for dinner and breakfast, and there is entertainment (weather permitting) of: Camp fire (Subject to CFA permit), indoor screening of the movie “Picnic at Hanging Rock”, Night walk tour looking at the reserves flora & fauna.

Hanging Rock is great - obviously kids love climbing the rock, but there is also plenty of room for games, a dam where people fish for trout, a licensed cafe, a playground, tennis courts etc.......

If you don't want to camp, come on Sunday for a picnic....(maybe I should make another event?).

Cost:
Family $46
Adult $17.50
Child $11 (Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult)

I'll advise how to book soon.

Excellent - I loved it. Great place to camp. Lots of families and the SES did a great job with BBQ, walks etc (and jump starting my car when it went flat because I kept my fridge plugged in!). And thanks Froggy and Elaine for visiting on Sun.

I'm aiming to get there at 3pm so we can suss out where would be good to set up the tents. Maybe earlier if I can get my act together , but it wouldn't be any earlier than 2pm. I'm planning on spending the day there on Sun if the weather is good.

Which brings up a point - if anyone isn't camping but would like to join us on Sunday you'd be welcome.

    That's great Trish.

I hope you've all sent in your registration form for this weekend. If not, you'll need to do it in the next few days.

There's a few single parents coming from the country as well, so we should have a good sized group. My numbers[masked] so call me when you get there, or in case there's no reception I'll hang a 'panda' mask on my tent.
