21st ANNUAL BIKE RIDE & WINERY TOUR SOLVANG – SANTA YNEZ – LOS OLIVOS FRIDAY, OCT. 30 – SUNDAY, NOV. 1, 2009 BIKE TO FOLEY, FIRESTONE & FESS PARKER SAT. BIKE TO GAINEY & BRANDER SUN. FRIDAY, OCT. 30 – Drive to Buellton and check-in at hotel. North on 101 Fwy. to Hwy246. Exit Hwy 246 and left to Pea Soup Andersons Inn. Travel time is approximately 3 hours. After check-in we’ll visit Sanford and Mosbey wineries. Return to hotel for 5pm cocktail party and then 6:30pm dinner at A.J. Spurs. Call Al Tomei for caravan arrangements. Plan on leaving at 9:00am from Marina del Rey. We’ll stop for lunch at Stacky’s Seaside Restaurant in Summerland at Evans Ave. off ramp. SATURDAY, OCT. 31 – Meet at hotel gazebo for 8am continental breakfast. Begin ride at 9:00am. East on Hwy. 246 to Solvang. Left on Alamo Pintado Road. Stop at Foley Estates Winery for wine tasting. Continue on to Los Olivos. Stop at Panino Restaurant, and pick up sandwiches for lunch. Continue on to Foxen Canyon Road. Stop for wine tasting at Firestone Vineyard. Continue on to Fess Parker Winery for wine tasting and lunch. After lunch, return on Foxen Canyon Road to Los Olivos. Continue on to Alamo Pintado Road and Solvang. Right on Hwy. 246 to Buellton and hotel. Total round trip is 26 miles. 5pm cocktail party and 6:30pm dinner at Alisal River Grille. SUNDAY, NOV. 1 – Meet at hotel gazebo for 8am continental breakfast. Begin ride at 9:00am. East on Hwy 246 to Solvang. Continue on Hwy 246 to Santa Ynez and Gainey Vineyard for wine tasting. Then left on Hwy 246 to Meadowvale. Right Meadowvale to Sagunto. Left on Sagunto to Pine. Left on Pine to Calzada. Right on Calzada to Baseline. Left on Baseline to Refugio. Right on Refugio to Hwy 154 and Roblar Av. Stop at Bander Vineyard for wine tasting. Then right on Roblar Ave. to Los Olivos. Left on Alamo Pintado Road. Right on Hwy 246 and return to hotel in Buellton. Total round trip is 22 miles. Change clothes and check out of hotel. Drive south on Hwy 246 to Hwy 154 to San Marcus Pass. Stop at Cold Springs Tavern for lunch. Turn right on Stagecoast Road and continue on to restaurant. After lunch, return to LA via Hwy 154, Santa Barbara and 101 Fwy.

October 25 Sunday 9:30AM Bixby Village Golf Course (mostly 3 Par) Cost $19. 6120 Bixby Village Dr., Long Beach (562-498-7003) Directions: Take the 405 Fwy to Bellflower Blvd., proceed approx. 2 miles to Pacific Coast Highway, left to Loynes Dr., then left on Bixby Village Drive North to the club. This is a very beautiful 9 hole course with a couple of 300 yard holes. First tee time is 10:00 AM Note: Please make your reservation by calling Pat Blishak at (562) 296-8226, and do so prior to October 17. Pat will arrange for lunch at a nearby restaurant.
