I just went to get haircut today at Salon Raybon. It is on Coursey just past post office. The stylist's name is Sarah. She is really good. I would definitely go back to her. Will look up her number and give to you tomorrow.

I'm hurt. She didn't call me, lol! Just got home, had a hairdresser stand my up. Know of a good one?

I understand, same here. Allie called Saturday, I was visiting with my nephew, and by the time I called back she had probably made other plans. I called her back and left a message but was too late. Hope you have a good day.

  • Lorraine

Been meaning to call both of you but I have been busy with things around here. By the time I eat and settle down it is too late to call!

    Probably in June.

I have been once, loved it. When did you say you will be retiring?

    January 11, 2014

  • Mary L.

Lorraine, you are hilarious. I don't know if I can walk 5 miles like Allie but I can walk a pretty good ways. I think we can make the spring Rodeo. Have you ever been to the Angola rodeo?

    January 11, 2014

  • Lorraine

and you too, Mary! Was great to meet other 60's that not only aren't dead but still have a lot of pep to the step! I can't walk more than 2 miles, tho. Maybe Allie can be an inspiration to walk further! Mary, what do you think about the Angola Rodeo in the spring? Of course we can do things before that but the Rodeo just popped in my head. hmmm maybe I have some nice Rodeo shoes in my closet I don't remember buying.....

It was really nice meeting you Allie and Lorraine. We three decided that we really aren't dead just because we are 60. LOL I am sure we will have other meet-ups. Stay in touch!

It was great! I developed some sort of upper respiratory thing and decided I should stay home. Allie, one of the attendees, didn't care, said come anyway and eat soup, lol! So glad I went! We learned a lot about each other, have a lot of things in common and will definitely have some good times together in the future! Any other over 50's out there? You really missed out tonight! Can't wait to plan our next venture! I guess we have Kathy to thank for picking the place? It was none of us!

Feeling much better, will be there. Meet at the front door?

    January 10, 2014

  • Lorraine

It sure does! I woke up this AM, could hardly talk. Other than that, I feel fine but don't know what I have and if it is contagious. Don't want to make my new friends sick, lol! (question: how did you meet Lorraine? answer: she made me sick!) So, very regretfully, I think I should stay home tonight. So y'all "pass a good time" tonight and hopefully everyone will want to do it again, maybe next weekend?

I am confused too. LOL I don't know who did what..... Too funny
    Sounds like a good group.

I have never been there, I am assuming casual dining? No reservations?

    January 9, 2014

    • Kathy N.

      No reservations. And yes, casual.

Also changing the name is a great idea. Senior is way too old sounding.

Sorry, but tomorrow night is not good for me. I will at another time. Have a great time. Denise

    January 9, 2014

good idea about changing the name!

    January 9, 2014

  • Lorraine

should we wear flowers in our hair, lol?

    January 9, 2014

  • Mary L.

Was thinking too that the name of the meetup needs to be changed to Mature Youngsters or something like that. Senior Citizens sounds too old. LOL

    January 9, 2014

  • Mary L.

That sounds good to me. I will be able to meet all there. How will I know where you are?

    January 9, 2014

all the meetups seem to stop at people in their 50's. There are a lot of single people in their 60's looking for something to do!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
