PLEASE READ THIS THROUGH - Details of casting, rehearsals, production team, and poster competition for IAWL_2012
It's that time of year already! And what a year it has been. Hot on the heels of a most successful summer seminar, NOLA Voice Talent is launching its FOURTH annual radio-play production of It's a Wonderful Life.
The performance will be held on Saturday December 15th at the beautiful 300-seat showroom at Deutches Haus.. and casting begins NOW.
Auditions will be held at Deutsches Haus on MONDAY October 1st (7.30pm) to fill the remaining roles according to the following procedure:
1. Roles will be awarded first by audition to any of last year's IAWL performers (December 2011).
2. First option on remaining roles will be awarded by audition to FULL (Subscription) Members of NOLA Voice Talent
3. Any remaining roles will be awarded by audition to registered web-site members of NOLA Voice Talent.
The rehearsal schedule is simple: every Monday evening until the performance, from 7:00pm at UNO. (Unless Saints are on Monday Night Football!)
We will do our best to accommodate everyone, although please be aware that the size of this year's cast will be limited (smaller than last year's production). So please let me know by URGENTLY (by September 28th at latest) if any of the above sections (1 thru 3) apply to you and you wish to be part of the cast for this amazing production.
And the backstage team is equally important to the production; we need the following:
Sponsorship organizer(s) and liaison officers
Box-office personnel on the night
Door person on the night
Any other duties you can think of and would like to participate in
We are also opening this years' POSTER DESIGN as a competition. So, to all members who are designers, please put forward your designs also by Monday October 1st, for judging by all members who attend the audition evening.
Finally, again, if ANY OF THE ABOVE APPLIES TO YOU in wishing to participate, please email me urgently to let me know. We will try to be fair to everyone with this opportunity, so you must provide notice of your involvemement in the production.
If you have any questions, please drop me a line at firstname.lastname@example.org and be sure to put "IAWL_2012" in the subject line.
