All inclusive singles winter party weekend in Tremblant. Join other singles, as we head to a place known for winter fun. Act fast and commit to fun.

For the past five years, Funabalu has hosted a Mount Tremblant Party weekend at Eastern North America's Best Winter Resort. This is an opportunity to enjoy skiing, boarding, snowshoeing, x-c skiing, spas, nightclubs, and all kinds of socializing with other singles and friends. We will be inviting another singles Meetup group from Montreal to join us, to make this even more of a fun gathering.  If interested, commit early so we can best guarantee your accommodation reservation. Last minute RSVPs are welcome, but it is not guaranteed that there will be enough space and it will cost $50 more than the deal we are offering our Early Bird registrants to account for the cost of last minute scheduling efforts. ** Meals included are 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners.

The plan:

Friday - You can either arrive early to ski, x-c ski, snowshoe, etc. or meet us after work at the chalet. Most people tend to come after work.  We spend the evening socializing and getting to know one another, planning our activities for the next day together.

Saturday - Breakfast then ski, snowboard, x-c ski, snowshoe, skate, shop, casino, spa and meet for dinner.  Post-dinner drinks and then off to the nightclub for dancing.

Sunday - Ski or spa or both!  The spa is almost a given to relax tired muscles and feel great.  You can even do the polar bear dip in the river, as they smash a hole in the ice each year for people like us. On the way home, we can stop at Chateau Montebello to enjoy a break and a fireside coffee or glass of wine in that grand hotel's spectacular log cabin foyer.

Pricing (accommodations + 2 breakfasts + 2 dinners):

You're lucky! People come from around the world to enjoy what we have just 2 hours away!  Find out why if you haven't already!

Tremblant is ranked as Eastern North America's BEST WINTER RESORT the past decade. There's more to do than just downhill skiing or snowboarding. Good luck trying to do it all.  There's spas, nightclubs, and casinos, cross-country skiing, nightclubbing, skating, movies, snowshoeing, nightclubbing, house parties, relaxation, socializing, and pedestrian gondola rides to the summit to take in breathtaking Tremblant beauty...and there`s great times with great singles. Each year we have a really fun time.  For me, it`s the highlight of the winter when strangers get together and end up becoming friends.

3 DAYS AND 2 EVENINGS.

Includes 2 nights accommodation, breakfasts, and dinners.

Join us in a chalet in the winter wonderland of Old Village of Tremblant, Canada's winter at its best.  (Double occupancy in a hotel room is also available for the same price, if you want extra privacy and to accommodate our singles alumni, those who have coupled up and want to join in too.) Your stay will include 2 amazing table d'hote dinners and breakfasts in one of the area's best restaurants. If you love food, you're going to love this place!

If you love winter, you'll love it even more - snowshoeing, downshill & x-c skiing, boarding, skating on a lake, apres ski, nightclubbing, and heading off for apres-sports spas & hot tubbing. Don't know how to ski or snowboard? Take a lesson at the hill. It's easy, when you book through tremblant.ca .

The winter chalet culture is part of this town's history. Tremblant helped to invent winter fun, with legendary partying and outdoors activities. This is the place that defined the winter party scene for the last 60 years. Just ask those who came last year! (see testimonial at the end of this).

SKI - SNOWSHOE - SKATE - X-C SKI - SPA - NIGHTCLUB - APRES SKI - CHALET PARTY - GOOD TIMES!

Current lift ticket deals:

- Latitude Ski Pass for $60.80 per day to ski more than one day. Check it out at:
http://www.tremblant.ca/ski-and-golf/tickets-and-passes/latitude-card.aspx

- Spring Ski Pass: Unlimited skiing for the last month of skiing, starting the weekend we head up there for $179.  Spring is often the best time up there in terms of powder and great skiing. Check it out at:

- Ski & Spa Package just $89: Great deal at (
http://www.tremblant.ca/offers-and-packages/other-promotions/ski-and-spa-package.aspx ). The spa is usually $45, so that means that a $88 lift pass would be just $44 and give you something to do for two of the three days!

If you know of any better ones, please share this with me, so I can pass this along to the group.

Carpooling is encouraged to share mileage.

You will enjoy the ambience of Eastern North America's Best Ski Resort, but nevermind skiing or snowboarding, it is great for all sorts of winter fun. This is the ultimate winter holiday locale, is truly a Winter Disneyland of the North. Founded by Jack Rabbit Johansen in the 1930s, this is an Apres Ski destination for its bars and late night condo parties.

Accommodations: We can accommodate up to 30 people. This is chalet style accommodations, some private rooms and some open concept. It's all part of the experience and opportunity to mingle. Much better than private hotel rooms for socializing. Those who sign-up first, get to choose what rooms or open concept sleeping options they want first.

Chalet accommodations:

Chalets have a mix of private, semi-private, and open sleeping areas.  If you want private room, this is on a first come, first serve basis, so sign-up asap.

Hotel accommodations:

Good for friends who want privacy, singles alumni (couples), snorers, and for overflow.  Pricing based on what's available.

Other Activity Costs:

Lift tickets, Cross-country skiing ($15), ski lift passes (e.g. T-66), and The spas cost between $15 to $45. I highly recommend Le Scandinave (way better than Le Nordique) where you can also end your hot tubbing with a dip in the Diable River and get a massage too!

Check this out: Tremblant's Scandinave Spa "Amazing Experience!"

TRAVEL PLANS:

If you need a ride, please post up a comment on Meetup that you need a ride.

Funabalu-Singles members are great at sharing rides and this is good for the environment. (Passengers are asked to pay for their share of the gas.) If you want to drive, please post up a comment that you are offering too. Your vehicle has to be large enough for skis and gear, so typically two people to three people are tops for most vehicles.

Rendezvous: We will meet at 1191 rue Jacques Cartier, Gatineau, Quebec, J8T 2W3 at 8:30 am on Friday, January 6 and will convoy drive to Mount Tremblant to get in some skiing / boarding the same day. Those who are late can meet us there by 6 pm. Our dinner sitting is for 6:30 pm, so the earlier the better.

Check-in time: 4 pm (please plan to take about 2.5 hours or so to get there)

Check-in: Everyone is asked to check-in at the Auberge la Porte Rouge's main office at:

1874 Chemin du Village Mount Tremblant, Quebec J8E 1K4

Map: http://tinyurl.com/ylxsybc

** This is in the Old Village of Mount Tremblant. From there, you will be directed to your chalet where we will be staying. Things you can bring:

- Swim suits (for hot tub)

- Bathrobes and slippers (for chalet)

- Towels

- Skates

- Downhill skis / boards

- Cross-country skis

- Snowshoes

- Beer/wine

- CDs

- Friends (It pays to sleep with friends, as you get $20 off if you sleep in the same bed.)

It is assumed people can take off Friday to settle in, but I would like to know if this is difficult for you to see what other arrangements we can make for you.

Andrea said: “ This was a wonderful event. It was well-organized with many details provided in advance, and the organizer made every effort to ensure everyone had transportation both to/from Mont Tremblant as well as to/from the various venues in the area. The organizer also made sure that participants were aware of the many options for them to explore various personal interests (eg. downhill skiing, x-country skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, spending time at the space, "downtime", etc). The participants themselves contributed a lot to the success of this event as well, with their good humour, openness, generosity (eg. sharing equipment), and just generally being considerate of others. The accommodations were good value for the money. Thank you. ”

** Please note: Those who pay in full, get first choice of sleeping arrangements. Those who pay the $150 deposit, reserve their spots before those who pay later. Pay your deposit soon to help us reserve enough chalet space for all.  The more the partier!

    Rachelle and Sylvie,
Maybe the 3 of us can carpool. I have a small vehicle, so would prefer to be a passenger with someone else. Will be bringing my downhill skis and boots. Email me at [masked] so we can make arrangements between the 3 of us.

    Hi John:
Thanks for getting this going! I do have a few questions:

    1. When is the balance of your deposit due, and is it to you?
    2. I am willing to carpool and live in Orleans, so I would be leaving from my house, and not drive to Hull to meet the group.

Anyone coming from the east end?

Hi John, This sounds great! How many do you need to confirm a chalet with a hot tub -even better! I will confirm before March 1st if I am going.

The sooner we can get deposits, the sooner I will make the reservation. I hope to do this by next Wednesday.

      February 27

  • John Savage

Congratulations. Richard just paid his deposit and reserved 2nd choice on sleeping arrangements and Tania reserved the 3rd priority in sleeping choice, based on her deposit payment. We would like 20 people to join us, even more if possible to make this a big event.

    February 24

  • John Savage

Chantal has first priority in choosing sleeping acommodations, after paying her deposit. Whoever pays, gets priority for what will be a great time in snow country.

What a blast it was in past years. I hope you can come see why this is such an exciting place to enjoy Winter, as it slips into Spring.
