Come celebrate winter with our weekly xc-skiing and join other Funabalu winter activity program members throughout the winter. You will not only have fun, but be in great shape by spring. Cross-country skiing is the top aerobic sport for overall conditioning and cardio development. And, its a great way to socialize while getting fit. All levels of skiers welcome. RSVP for the whole series at once, to show others you will be there. "RSVP and they will come!", is our motto.

We boot things up early in our series with some skis from Parking lot 8 (P8) in Gatineau Park then try some other routes too. The P8 loop should take between 45 minutes to 1.5 hours, depending on your speed and interest. Those who go faster (e.g. skate skiers) can extend their route a little and join up with the slower ones (e.g. classic skiers). Afterwards, we may head to the Chelsea Pub for a hot chocolate, depending on group consensus. It's a great outing for all levels of skiers.
This relatively flat route is a good workout for novices and expert skiers alike. It has some gentle sloping hills to try out your hill climbing technique too.
