Fuel Pizza + Renwick Art Gallery

Fuel Pizza is an excellent pizza place with plenty of seating, located near the Renwick Art Gallery.

They serve up 12", 14", and 19" pizzas, so I thought we could order cheese pizzas (or whatever pizza you prefer) and chat some about our backgrounds, hobbies, and such.

The nearest Metro stations are Farragut North + Farragut West.

At 3:30, we will walk to the Renwick Art Gallery and look around (they close at 5:30). This art gallery is free to the public and no tickets are needed.

Last minute change, did not go to Fuel Pizza. Instead went right to the Renwick. I was in heaven seeing the paintings. I took pictures with my cell. But I am having problems loading pics onto my PC. I will get them onto my Cousin's computer/transfer/then put post them here. Didn't see anyone - I guess you went onto to the After Party - St. Regis. Before the Musuem closed, a Orchestra was setting up, starting a rehearsal. They were going to have a performance - ticket only - after the Museum closed. I drove from Leesburg, completely worth it.

Lynda we must have missed you by minutes. The musicians were just wondering in the front door as we left. You are correct, that exhibit, while small, is worth the visit. The incredible craftsmanship and skill on display is awe inspiring. My favorite pieces were Game Fish (fun), the canvas draped clock that was really all wood (what detail and patience), the glass dress (elegant) and the Ash cabinet (simplicity by design) by the Russian artist.

Oh, Jim, wouldn't you know I would be so close to seeing you all. But I would have stayed, maybe then joining you at the Regis. I can't pass up Artwork like I was seeing. I agree the craft makers and Artists were amazing. I liked the Oval Painting of the Women in Red, The lady in Violet, and my favorite - "Dawn" - A striking picture of a lady in a Gold draped gown, created in 1902. Then the Craft artists work: the double rocker, the mosaic, the Blue glass tear drop, the Ash cabinet , the large painting with a boat at the bottom focusing on the sea and sky, the Bistro table in green with chairs. Then at the end a great surprise - to hear the Orchestra warming up. It was perfect for the gallery, they were talented.

I agree, Andy. I love your combo - Pizza and the Renwick, then the Regis. What fun, education, etc. Sorry to miss 2 out of 3. I love people that think out of the box.

A Popup in 3 Acts...as far as I know! Pizza, Museum, and impromptu After Party @ St. Regis. Was there an Act 4? Great job, Andy!

Sure Andy. I wondered what type of Art The Renwick Art Gallery has. I enjoy looking at Folk Art. I like most any art except for Abstract.

Thank you Filomena for letting me know this Fuel Pizza is closer to the Renwick, than the one located at 6th + F.
