Since the inception of the graffiti movement, artists have painted their chosen nicknames, or "tags," in order to identify their work and build their brand. 'HELLO my name is' explores the contemporary street art movement with work by 80 graffiti artists from across the Americas and UK.
Each of the artists featured in 'HELLO my name is' was given a canvas with the familiar name tag sticker silk-screened onto it. They then put their personal touches on the image, as artist HKS 181 did in the above example.
