Picasso at the Lapin Agile, theater preceded by coffee to "meetup"

http://www.viennatheatrecompany.com/?page_id=284

"Two men walk into a bar…"  Picasso at the Lapin Agile  features the characters of Albert Einstein and Pablo Picasso, who meet at a bar called the Lapin Agile  in Montmartre, Paris. It is set on October 8, 1904, and both men are on the verge of an amazing idea (Einstein will publish his special theory of relativity in 1905 and Picasso will paint Les Demoiselles d'Avignon in 1907) when they find themselves at the Lapin Agile, where they have a lengthy debate about the value of genius and talent while interacting with a host of other characters. Winner of the 1996 Outer Critics Circle Aware for Best Off Broadway Play, it has been described as "highly credible and … very funny. You get giggles in plenty and moments of enlightenment."

The Vienna Inn is a good choice. I haven't been there in several years, but I recall it as a classic old dive (but not TOO much of a dive). I look forward to meeting folks there around 6:00.

Caffee Amouri sounds like they make good coffee. Personally, I would prefer beer or wine at that hour, but if we are going the coffee route (as originally proposed), Caffee Amouri sounds like a good choice. Apparently there are also two Starbucks within a couple of blocks of there, but I would prefer the local establishment over the international chain.

I will be at the Vienna Inn, prior to the theater. If the breakfast menu is any guide, this is a really reasonably priced place and fairly close to the Theater. I will be there at 6:00 if not before and hope that others can join me. Then we will go over to the theater, which has assured me that there is an abundant number of tickets available, for those who want to leave it to the last minute.

So sorry to miss tomorrow's event but I've come down with a bad head cold. I was really looking forward to it. Hope you have a great time!

Where is the Westin? There is Caffe Amouri which is a 10 min walk from the theater. There are also several restaurants like Bazins on Church and Vienna Inn. Personally, I would rather have a glass of wine instead of coffee!

Unless someone comes up with something better, we can meet at the Starbucks in the Westin Hotel......

Francine, do we buy the ticket in advance? What about seating etc? Thanks!

I will check but I think these events are open seating. You would purchase your own ticket.
