Artomatic is a free arts festival occurring in Washington, DC from May 29 to July 5. The works of more than 1,000 visual artists are on continuous display; 600 performers are scheduled to appear. The event occupies 9 floors in a brand-new 275,000 square foot building next to Nationals Stadium. For more information about Artomatic, go to www.artomatic.org. Our excursion to Artomatic on Sunday, June 14 coincides with the Singer Songwriter Showcase taking place on the Solo Stage (3rd Floor) beginning at 4 PM. We will first meet here and listen to the music while waiting for any late arrivals. At 4:15, we will start exploring the exhibition space. We will reconvene at the Solo Stage at 5:30. DIRECTIONS Take the Green Line Metro to Navy Yard. The building is located directly above the Metro Station. Take the Ballpark exit. When you get to the street level, turn right. Turn right again at the corner. The entrance (also known as the "Magic Portal") to Artomatic will be on your right. P.S. There is no Nationals home game on June 14. I checked. DINNER ANYONE? If all goes well and people are up for it, we will take the Green Line to Gallery Place and have dinner at one of the many restaurants in that area. I like
Asian Spice. Let me know what you think by stating in your RSVP "Yes for Dinner" or emailing me from this Web page. I anticipate arriving at the restaurant for dinner at 6-6:15 PM.
