Not Neutral - Exhibition @ the Kreeger Museum

Please arrive 10-15 minutes early. There is a small parking lot at the museum. If it is full, please park on W Street across from George Washington University Mount Vernon Campus. View on map HERE.

Please allow for enough time to park, walk (5 minutes) from vehicle to museum, and get your ticket.  A docent led tour will begin promptly at 2 PM.

The Kreeger Museum is pleased to announce the opening to the public of Mindy Weisel Not Neutral. This exhibition is comprised of three significant bodies of work that parallel one another in large-scale human and environmental tragedies - Paintings of the Holocaust (ca. 1980), Survival of Beauty (2010), and After Tohoku (2012).

Mindy Weisel Not Neutral reveals in each series the artist’s exploration of deep emotion through color, gestural marks, surface tension, and composition.

These works are a profound expression of the triumph of beauty, reconciliation, and healing over human tragedy, loss, and destruction.

Afterwards we will explore the grounds of the museum, including the terrace with view of DC and new reflecting pool:

Admission is $10. For complete visitor info, including directions, please CLICK HERE.

In reviewing my schedule i see that i have an event to attend on the same day as this one from 8:00 AM and i am not likely to get back on time. So out of respect for everyone and being considerate as i am i will cancel attending this event. I wish everyone an enjoyable time and i look forward to meeting all or most of you at the next event.
