Saturday Afternoon @ the Kreeger Museum & Party @ Chef Geoff (Wesley Heights)

In the 1960s, Tom Wesselmann was one of the key leaders in the Pop Art Movement along with Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein.  I had a glimpse of this exhibition at a preview and it is stunning!  We will tour "Tom Wesselmann Draws" and explore the complete collection at the Kreeger. . .including the Monet room!  Set in fashionable Foxhall and once a private residence, the museum is warm and gorgeous and has an outdoor terrace with a view of DC.

Please arrive at 1:45 PM for guided tour that begins at 2 PM.  Admission is $10.  The Kreeger is not Metro accessible.  For driving directions and bus info, please click here

For the After Party, we will go to Chef Geoff, 3201 New Mexico Ave., NW, Washington, DC 20016.  Chef Geoff is in Wesley Heights, a 3 minute drive from the museum.  For map, please click here.

Sorry I missed Chef Geoff but staying and hanging out in the sculpture garden at the Kreeger was great!

What a wonderful event! Jeryl did an outstanding job -- I'm really impressed with the thought and organization she put into making this event such a success. The Kreeger was fabulous, and the guides were excellent and really added to the experience. The restaurant Jeryl selected was wonderful. This was my first time with this meetup group -- everyone seemed nice and welcoming and I'll definitely be back.

Native Washingtonians are inured to avoiding the Mall and its ilk. Natural and excusable. Missing the Kreeger is inexcusable. It has a personality all its own.

Oh I am so jealous of all you other lucky people! I've been wanting to go but have an acupuncture continuing education class I can't get out of! Feel free to contact me if anyone wants to go to an art museum some other day!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
