In the 1960s, Tom Wesselmann was one of the key leaders in the Pop Art Movement along with Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein. I had a glimpse of this exhibition at a preview and it is stunning! We will tour "Tom Wesselmann Draws" and explore the complete collection at the Kreeger. . .including the Monet room! Set in fashionable Foxhall and once a private residence, the museum is warm and gorgeous and has an outdoor terrace with a view of DC.
Please arrive at 1:45 PM for guided tour that begins at 2 PM. Admission is $10. The Kreeger is not Metro accessible. For driving directions and bus info, please click here.
For the After Party, we will go to Chef Geoff, 3201 New Mexico Ave., NW, Washington, DC 20016. Chef Geoff is in Wesley Heights, a 3 minute drive from the museum. For map, please click here.
