I've updated this Meetup. For more details, see the full listing:

When: February 21,[masked]:30 PM

Where: Journeymen Theater Ensemble
1742 Church Street, NW Dupont Circle area, between 17th & 18th and Q & P Streets
Washington, DC 20036

"The Inspector General" by Nikolai Gogol is a 19th-century political satire. The system of graft, corruption and ineptitude in Tsarist Russia plays out in a backwater town so far removed from Moscow that it might as well be ... well, here.

The Ensemble's artistic director tells me, "You will love it! It is very funny." While watching the rehearsal, she says she was "laughing out loud."

This play is near recession-proof with tickets at $20 each! Please go to and purchase your ticket. Once you have done so, return to this Meetup page and RSVP Yes with comment, "I bought my Ticket."

There are just 80 tickets total available per performance (for us and the general public).

Closer to the Meetup date, I will follow up with you regarding the location of our After Party.

As Singles Soirees 40 & Up continues grow, I would like to remind members that this is a social group with the goals of friendship, romance and fun! Out of respect for each other, please leave other agendas - regardless of how well-intentioned - at the door because after all, it's SATURDAY NIGHT!!!
