I stopped by the Lowell Folk Festival last night and noticed most of the people at Boarding Park Stage (which is a big lawn) brought lawn chairs, so you may want to bring one or a towel to sit on. The Dutton Stage has plenty of chairs already set up for the festival. The other stages vary, some have chairs, some lawn. I can't find my orange towel! So look for a blue towel with fish on it, I'll hang it from the back of a foldup chair. Call/text me at[masked] if you have trouble finding us. See you there!

I was there from 12 to 1 pm and went circling around did not see anyone. I went to Kennedy plaza saw people I knew at one of the booths. I left about 2:30 pm. I felt like the witch from Oz, I'm melting.

Looking forward to meeting everyone and hearing some good music. I am planning on arriving at noon, so I'll be on the lookout for orange towels and olive hats. :)

I will be heading down from NH later in the afternoon (3ish), because I have commitments earlier in the day. I am looking forward to meeting all of you! Any advice on where I should park? I'm not all that familiar with Lowell...

Hi Mike (or is it Micha?), thank you for the information on parking! I am actually going to be there closer to 5 now because a friend of mine wants to come and she works until 4. We will head down from So. NH after that. I will give your phone a ring once we are on foot. :)

    • A sweater, sweatshirt, or windbreaker, for the evening concert.
    • Friends and Neighbors.
    • A picnic lunch if you like. (See 'Is there food?' below.)

Hi everyone, are you ready for a day of music and fun!? Fortunately it looks like the weather will cooperate and it'll be a sunny day.

For those who are arriving at the start of the day, let's meet at the Boarding House Park Stage at noon (early versions of the schedule showed a start time of 11am, but the current schedule shows the first performances at noon). I'll try to grab a spot as close to the front and center and lay out a few towels to mark it (look for loud colors like orange lol). I'll be wearing an olive drab ranger-style hat. Give me a ring at[masked] if you have trouble finding us! I look forward to seeing you there!

(I'll provide some helpful info in another post, Meetup limits each post to 1,000 characters)
