SOS Baltimore Area Happy Hour

The location for the September SOS Baltimore Area Happy Hour will be the beautiful Baltimore Yacht Club located on Sue Island, 800 Baltimore Yacht Club Rd, Baltimore, MD 21221. BYC is conveniently located just 15 minutes from the intersection of the Baltimore Beltway I-695 and I-95 on the northeast side of Baltimore.

Free snacks, $1.50 (Coors Light), premium drafts $2.25, rail drinks $4, lite fare at great prices and a full dinner menu. The bar opens at 5 pm. Food service from 6 to 8 pm. Prices are good all evening and are before tax and tip, which are automatically added to the individual’s tab, so no need to add a tip when you pay. Meet fellow SOS members, members of other sailing clubs and meetup groups and guests. Enjoy the great views, food, drinks and socialization. Please feel free to bring any friends who may be interested in sailing.

Please park in the Visitors Parking Area to the left after entering the gate. The Happy Hour is in the clubhouse at the top of the hill. Hope to see you there.

Well 120 was not going to happen because of the rain but 78 was still a good showing and the crab cake was big and tasted great. I think this is a fantastic place to have a meetup with the atmosphere being near the water with fantastic views. I am getting a lot of "great time norm, thanks" this morning. If you missed it we will be back here next June. My thanks to Jim Harrison who made this happen for all of us.

Photos of the BYC Happy Hour have been posted. To view them, click on the "Photos" link at the top of the page and then click on the album to see them. For those of you who attended, it would also be appreciated if you could "tag" any of the members that you recognize. There were a few people who were interested in SOS membership and I failed to get some of their names and email addresses to forward additional information. If any of you would like additional info on SOS or upcoming events, please email me by clicking on my profile, then "Send email". Thanks, everyone, for attending. Hope to see you next month on 10/10/13 at Carson's Creekside Restaurant & Lounge. Jim

We will meet in the inside bar area and the outside area can be viewed there. Last time it started in the bar and only 2 people were outside but with a fantastic day you couldn't get a seat outside with over 60 on the deck area which over looks the bay and river there. If rain I will be in the bar area and will be eating in the dining room, next to it, that has about 6 extra large windows so everyone seating can take in the view. Head count with 13 groups invite is over 120 there today.

The bar opens at 5:30pm. Food service is 6-8 pm. I’ll be there all evening. The gate should be open. If it’s not, pick up the phone at the gate and say you are here for the happy hour and the attendant will open the gate remotely. Park anywhere and take the steps to the clubhouse at the top of the hill. Jim

Wow I lost count at 120 but with POSSIBILITY of a shower in the PM, usually means maybe 100 people if we are lucky. You need to know someone to get in here so Jim H is inviting everyone to enjoy the evening here. Not Just Singles(Everyone).

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
