Let’s Celebrate Valentine’s Day @ Franklin Park Conservatory & Botanical Gardens

There is no longer any need to spend the most romantic evening alone, now that we have our fun and friendly group of Singles Mingles friends. Let’s enjoy a wonderful evening at one of my all-time favorite locations; Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. For you Columbus Newbies, this is a MUST SEE venue!

Spend this romantic evening tasting exquisite wines and liqueurs paired with artisan chocolates handcrafted by Bexley Chocolatier. Stroll through a display of exotic orchid blooms, enjoy live music, and forget the February chill in the Conservatory's inviting plant collections. A special Valentine's Day menu in the Garden Cafe, additional wine and chocolate tastings, and bottles of wine and liqueur are available for purchase. $15 per person, includes three wine/liqueur and chocolate pairings.
No reservations required, so you can pay at the door, but you may wish to buy your ticket ahead online at: https://reservations.fpconservatory.org/SelectDate.aspx Parking is free and very convenient. We will probably set up our “nest” along the connector walkway located between the main building (where you will come in) and the botanical garden west-end of the complex. We are always easy to find; just follow the laughter…or ask at the front desk. We will let them know where we are located.

See you then. Hugs and kisses for Valentines Day!

I really enjoyed meeting the friendly and interesting people. It was fun to sample the chocolates and wines, then talk to the others about our opinion of the samples.

I'm sorry you couldn't find us. I was looking forward to seeing you.

There is a chance that I will be running late to arrive this evening. As you arrive, look for our group along the walkway/connector between the main building where you will buy your ticket, and the conservatory building (the one with all the plantings & trees) at the other end. I like to grab one of the nooks along that hallway for our group to roost in. If you arrive before me, then stake out that area if available. See everyone tonight. HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

Steve I'm usually the second to arrive after you. I'll try and get us that area where we are for Halloween. See everyone tonight.

OK folks, let’s proceed with enjoying the Conservatory and their Valentine’s event. After all, I never could say no to a lady, let alone a bevy of such lovely ones as are RSVPd for this evening’s event. After we feel we have enjoyed enough of Franklin Park Conservatory, then those of us who wish will head on over to join up with our other group at Gresso’s down in German Village.

    See you all here.

Oh, and feel free to bring a WingWoman or WingMan to either or both.

I will now RSVP for Michele’s event at Gresso’s to help her with planning.

I am very interested in the Franklin Park Conservatory botanical Gardens. I like Don's idea of combining the events.

I am not sure how we would "combine" the events, unless you and Don are suggesting that we begin at the Conservatory, then move to Gresso's later in the evening.

We could either stop by Franklin Park for a while and then head over to Gresso's, or skip the conservatory and go to Gresso's. Either would be fine with me.

Folks, It looks like Michele’s event at Gresso’s is getting strong interest from our members; currently at 18 RSVPd, while we only have 7. I am thinking it best if we join in with her event and cancel this one. Plus, Gresso’s is free, other than what we eat & drink. Gresso’s is located in the German Village area, which is not far from the Franklin Park Conservatory, so that shouldn’t be an inconvenience for any of us. Post your thoughts here about this so that I can make a decision by Thursday afternoon.

I'm looking more and more like I'm going to make it this Friday. Both events sound fantastic. I'm good with combining them.

Right now I'm a definite maybe. Should be able to confirm closer to Friday. Love the Franklin Conservatory!

I really enjoy walking through Franklin Park during the warmer months. I have not been inside the conservatory and look forward to the event. Especially because I will get to see all the warm & friendly people again!
