*Now that the sun is on our side, we will be resuming our mid-week walk. Several people have asked to keep this as a regular meetup, so if you are willing to guest host in case I can't make it certain weeks, please let me know via email. I will reach out to you on the weeks I can't make it. Thanks!
Meet us for our weekly walk at the hidden gem that is Craig Regional Park.
It's located near Brea Mall at State College and Imperial Hwy ... but you will be surprised once you enter this little getaway.
Walk through shady trees. Catch a glimpse of the hawks that nest in the park, as well as other wildlife.
The path we will take is good for beginners, with mainly gentle slopes with a few short rises on a paved path.
We will take the outer loop path that goes over the dam, which is about 3.0 miles, and should take us just under an hour at a moderate pace.
There are restrooms and drinking fountains along the way. Leashed dogs are welcome.
Plenty of free parking is available on State College, right near the entrance. If you park inside the park, it is $3.00.
We will meet right inside the entrance (see photo below).
We will start walking at 6:10pm, so please allow time to park and take the short walk to the meeting place.
We will start up the path on the left of the sign if you need to catch up.
