Starting at 7:00, we will be entertained by one of the best local blues bands in Lake County. The Rough House Blues Band was formed in the mid-80’s by guitarist/lead singer Jim Egan, who had rehearsals in the basement of his north suburban Chicago Home. Influenced early in his musical career by classic rock sounds of the 60’s and 70’s, the advent of the Rough House Blues Band was accompanied by Egan’s detailed attention to the work of the Chicago-style blues masters, with Carey Orna on organ and keys, Kevin Donnellan on bass, and Chris Drehobl on drums The Rough House Blues sound features classic Chicago- style Blues, mixed with Texas and Southern Blues styles, rounded out with Latin and Funk sounds. Searing guitar, strong lead vocals, and strains of classic Hammond Organ are hallmarks of the sound, backed by a powerful straight-ahead rhythm section. The bands motto for live shows is “create a party atmosphere.” So, come on out for a “House-Rock’n” good time!
