Sit Down, Shut Up, and Write: *Tuesday* @ It's a Grind

The format for the meetup is straightforward: The first half an hour you come in, get settled, get a drink, chat a bit, whatever works. The subsequent hour we get down to writing. Feel free to keep working after the hour is up, as long as the venue is open. Just be mindful that people are free to talk as they please at that point, because the official meetup time is over.

How often does this group meet? Same place, different places? Is there a schedule or are the meeting spots and times just posted as an event is created / venue is accepted?

Hi Renee - The group currently meets twice a week, on Sunday and Tuesday; each day always meets at the same place. Other days and venues are totally acceptable, provided someone can proctor (I'm stretched a bit thin, myself), and is willing to help organize. Thankfully, both of the current locations are easily accessible via the 5. Hope this helps, and hope to see you soon!

What types of writing do we enjoy here? All genres? Are fiction and non-fiction allowed?

Hi Rebecca - People can work on whatever they want, whether it be fiction, non-fiction, memoirs, blogs, essays, whatever. Nothing is out of bounds! Hope that helps.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
