Sit Down, Shut Up, and Write! Meetup *Trianon* SUNDAY

  • January 19, 2014 · 3:00 PM

The Format:

3:00 to 3:30 (The "Sit Down" part): The first thirty minutes is reserved for introductions, chitchat, purchasing food and drink, etc.

3:30 to 4:30 (The "Shut Up, and Write" part): We stop talking PROMPTLY at 3:30 and write for one hour.

4:30: After the hour has concluded, you can continue to write, leave, talk, or do whatever trips your trigger. Please don't disturb those still working. Likewise, please don't give others the stink-eye if they begin talking amongst themselves.

Trianon closes at 7:00 Monday thru Saturday and 5:00 on Sundays.

The Rules:
Click here to read all of the rules for this Meetup, including the RSVP/no-show policy.

The Fees:

There is no fee to attend, but I encourage everyone to support our local businesses by making a purchase. Please do not bring outside food and drink. Trianon has a wide selection of coffee drinks, smoothies, desserts, and snacks.

So that's it. No more excuses. No more procrastination. Fire up your laptops and sharpen your pencils. Then join us to sit down, shut up, and write!

Sorry to cancel again, but I don't think you guys want to listen to the noises my allergies are causing me to make.

I'm sorry to cut out right before group but I feel like my allergies just kicked me in the gut. I'm going to get back into bed and try to sleep this icky feeling out. I'm going to go ahead and post next week's meeting. Continue group as usual, hope to be writing with you all soon!

I won't be able to attend these on Sundays for the next few months. I'm going to try the Wednesday ones!

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
