Just wondering about how the wait list works? I was the first person on it this week, a spot opened up, but someone else took it. I'm just wondering how that happened when I was first on the wait list?

Also, as Mike said, there was a time when the first person on the wait list was automatically put into the group but about 75% of the time they wouldn't show up, not having seen the notice in time. Meanwhile others were wanting to get in but couldn't, because someone had already been put into the spot. This way if someone adds themselves they know they're supposed to be there when the time comes- it's more fair for everyone.

Hey! thanks to all for the replies - this group is important to me, and it was nice to get some feedback that clarified the process. Totally makes sense. I'll try again to get in next week, and if not, I'll come anyway as was suggested and then write in the main room - or slide into a slot if it happens that way. Thanks, and I hope you all got some good writing done! ;-) Marrit

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
