New Location, Skeptics Slam

Last meeting was great with plenty of lively discussions. However, from the looks of the others in the coffee shop we may not be able to keep meeting in that location. So...let's try out the Denny's on Speedway. There is pleny of room there and we'll be by ourselves in the back room so we will be free to cuss and discuss as needed. Of course, it is a restaurant so you may want to have some desert to go along with your coffee. We're getting more mature as a group now and able to solidify the agenda. Please feel free to suggest topics for discussion on the Messages section of this Meetup site.

This was a vast improvement compared to the previous meeting. The presentation by Don was excellent. It provided an idea of what is ment to be a "skeptic" as far as this group is concerned.

Background music was a tad distracting although it did seem they turned the volume down at Don's request. A more private room would be preferred (I know it wasn't Don's choice, Denny's double booked the back room). It was nice to be able to order food (more than coffee/pastry at Borders).

The new location was good, next time will be better when we get to use the back room. Next time we'll be meeting on Wednesday. This meeting the agenda worked out well and I plan on continuing with it at the next meeting.

1st Thursdays are fine. Somewhat central location is fine. I think a more "circular" seating arrangement to help full group conversation will prove to be essential going forward but deeply appreciate Don's efforts so far.

Discussion was great and I look forward to future meetings.

No intention of shooting anyone just taking an opportunity to move the Skeptics of Tucson forward in skeptical thinking.

Subject for the meetup. I'd like to thank Marylynn for giving me the idea for a subject. There is so much information and misinformation available to us since the computer age. We can neither accept it all nor reject it all. Some information sources are better than others. How do we decide what to take seriously?
