Hello everyone! Our Melbourne forum for the Sketchcrawl event can be found at this link: http://www.sketchcrawl.com/foru...

If you upload some of your sketches here (I hope you do!) I can put them up on their site for you or you of course can do it yourself if you like. Just let me know. If nothing else I encourage you to take a look around the forum to see what others were sketching around the world. The spot to see what everyone was doing is: http://www.sketchcrawl.com/foru...

    Cheers,

    Steph

Hi Stephanie, good to see you yesterday and yes, you can upload my watercolour sketch of the persimmon tree at the rear of National Gallery of Victoria by Lesley Sharon Rosenthal. Thanks for doing this on my behalf. I really appreciate this and look forward to seeing you and your fabulous drawings soon. Lesley

This is the same day as the international Sketchcrawl event! (www.sketchcrawl.com) I am going to look into getting us a spot in the forum for this round so we can share our sketches with the world as well.

Hi Julieanne, do you know if we can bring anything other than pencil to sketch with at the Gallery? I seem to remember something about that??

Ha, no, neither - I realised my message was confusing. Enjoy the NGV whenever you go :)

Thanks for clarifying Shona....rushing about and not concentrating...or is it old age?!!!! See you soon, Lesley

Hi Lesley, the two events are a week apart - International Slow Art Day is this Saturday, and sketching the week after. Sorry for any confusion caused.

Hi Shona, Good idea to attend the free NGV event though it gives us less time to sketch. Something to consider on Saturday when we meet up. Lesley

For those interested, the NGV International is hosting a free event as part of International Slow Art Day (Sat 12 April) from 11am until 12.30pm. It is designed to show people how to "see" and experience art differently. It may make an interesting adjunct to your sketching session.
