Portrait Drawing Roundtable #8

  • This location is shown only to members

The eighth meet up of this series. New members welcome! We will gather around a table and take turns modeling and drawing each others' faces. Half-hour poses, long enough to make some headway on a sketch but short enough that no one ends up sitting all night and not drawing. We'll shoot for 4 or 5 posing sessions, with time between for chatting, technique sharing and snacking. Check out the previous sessions' photo galleries for an idea of what we're doing.

This isn't meant to be a formal class, just a group drawing session, but discussion of techniques and results will be highly encouraged so we can all make the most of our time and develop greater skills in portraiture.

My house is pretty easy to find - looks like a big white square with orange trim.  My phone is[masked] call if you have a problem finding it.  I will have a sign on the door come on in up the stairs and we should hear you.  I have a big scary looking but sweet marshmellow dog and also a cat.  Looking forward to drawing with you!!

I think I could find two more chairs and up the space to 10. Usually a few people can't make it anyway!

Looks like you're all set - you are now makes as "attending" not "wait list". See you this afternoon!

Wow, this looks like it will be an amazing session. Everyone who's on the guest list, please note that there is a wait list forming, so be sure to update your RSVP if you can't make it, so that someone on the wait list can take your slot.

Hi everyone, sorry I'll miss the next meetup, but I'm away (yes, some place warm!) and look forward to drawing with you all again on the 9th. Enjoy

I really want to come, but there is a slight possibility I will have to cancel. I'll confirm as it approaches the day.

Hey Adrienne - I could host again - its not a problem for me and I would be more prepared like giving my phone number, note on the door and make sure the back door is closed. Also I forgot to tell people about my critters. Let me know - thanks Pat

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
