Tobin Bradley works in the Strategic Planning and Program Support division of Mecklenburg County GIS and is the creator of Quality of Life Dashboard, a responsive, interactive map that uses HTML5, jQuery, Leaflet, and Google Charts.

Good talk. Tobin's thoughts on open data & open software were particularly keen.

Thanks for hosting this. It was interesting to learn a little bit about the inner workings this county's department and the QoL Dashboard.

Unfortunately, I'll be out of the country during this talk, but I wanted to ask a question: why doesn't Char/Meck publish locations of individual crimes and police calls like lots of other cities do? Notably: Atlanta (http://www.atlantapd.org/zone2....
), Durham (http://gisweb.durhamnc.gov/gis_...
), and Winston-Salem (http://wspdp2c.org/
)
