For anyone who wants to meet progressive Christians in a diverse, welcoming to all, spiritual community. We have events and activities for families, children and adults. You can find the kind of event that suits you here - like a one-time workshop, labrynth walk; regular visits to share with folks in shelters; community service such as Thanksgiving dinners with lots of pie! Or regular prayer, worship, bible study, and community service projects. Here's a bit about who/what our community is about: * a church that is guided by the teachings of Jesus in an open-minded and progressive way, * a way to work for justice and peace, both locally and globally * a beautiful, inspiring, natural setting, * a diverse, inclusive, multi-racial, open and affirming community, * inspiring preaching and music, * a community where God’s love knows no bounds, where all are welcome, young, old, rich, poor, different colors and sexual orientation * a nurturing faith community that supports families, one where your children can learn that God loves them At Skyline, “family” includes both traditional and non-traditional families. We welcome single people as well. Family is a matter of attitude, not legal definition. Our church congregation models a way that people from different backgrounds, ethnicity, sexual orientation and faith traditions can come together as a family and deal lovingly with difference through their sharing of a love for God and God’s creation.seeks to promote messages of unconditional welcome and inclusion, illustrating UCC’s philosophy: “No matter who you are, no matter where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome at a United Church of Christ congregation.” I am pastor of this church. I am starting this meetup group because I want more people to be happy, alive, spiritual, giving, receiving, loving, safe, heard, and welcomed.
