Ever wanted to jam with other Bluegrass musicians but were too intimidated or didn't know how to find a group? Well, this is the group for you! Get out of your basement and join a jam that is user friendly and welcoming. Our goal is to enjoy the process of making music together in a gathering of advanced-beginner to intermediate players that enjoy the songs of Bluegrass.
If master musicianship and technical skills are your thing this is probably not the best jam for you. Likewise headcases, attitudes, and tempers are not welcome. The Goodtime Bluegrass Jam is about having a good time playing and learning new skills with other like minded bluegrass buddies.
Everyone is encouraged to bring their favorite bluegrass tunes and jam experience to enrich the group and expand our play list.
To enjoy this jam you should be familiar with the standard bluegrass chords of G, C, D, A, and F and be able to change chords and keep time with the rest of the group. Most songs are played in the key of G or D and the pace can vary with the skills of the musicians present.
All traditional Bluegrass instruments and vocalists are welcome. The more the merrier!
I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
