Petersham Nurseries, Slow Food London Approved Member and Supporter, has created the leading platform to engage with a community of thinkers from the world of food and sustainability, on issues of sustainability, food education, ethnobotony and culture. It is a place to hear individuals striving for change, be they farmers, academics, foragers or artists. Launching with the impassioned Joel Salatin and Patrick Holden in an event that questioned the entire farm-to-fork process, then the equally thought-provoking "Meat: to eat or not to eat". Petersham Platform is supported by Slow Food London.
An evening with Helena Norburg-Hodge: Helena is the founder and director of the International Society for Ecology and Culture, winner of the Alternative Nobel Prize, and the most recent recipient of the Goi Peace Prize. She is an internationally recognised pioneer in the localisation movement, an author, and regularly appears on TV and radio. She joins the platform with Lara Baglione, Managing Director of Petersham Nurseries, to discuss economic localism.
