XC Ski Canmore (or less) Nordic Centre all levels
RSVP opens Feb 17th at 7:00 PM
If you'd like some help like Rufus here there are drop in lessons available through Trail Sports at the Centre at 10:00 and 12:00 for $45 for 1.5 hours.
We only ask that you come in a color coordinated outfit to match the color coordinated trails. You may not be the best out there but we want you to at least look the best!

- Event Duration: 4 - 5 hours plus driving time (option to grab a bite in Canmore - Après-ski)
- Difficulty Rating: Beginner - Intermediate
- Distance: whatever you want
- Elevation gain: you choose
We'll ski at our own pace for the first couple of hours and those who want lessons can begin at 10:00 - please arrange these directly with the Nordic Centre upon arrival. We'll gather together at the lodge for lunch and then take on some of the trails in the afternoon. This will be a great day for building your skills.
You must pay to ski here, there is a daily fee of $10. The centre has a day lodge with washrooms, lockers, food service, and a full service ski shop providing rentals, lessons, and equipment. For further information please visit the website at: http://www.albertaparks.ca/canmore-nordic-centre.aspx
Who can attend: Enthusiastic members who know how to ski or are learning how to ski, no guests, no children.
Please ensure you have all the gear, wax, clothes, water, & food you need for a full winter's day in the wilderness, or just bring money to rent.

- ski fee for trail pass - $10 per person

Please take the time to answer question #1 when you RSVP so that we can make arrangements for carpooling. If you choose to not answer, then I may choose to move you to the wait list (you wouldn't like that).
WAIVERS: Your consent is required for attending this event. You will be asked to provide the name and phone number of an emergency contact. Please read the Waiver by clicking HERE. I will bring the group waiver form with me to the Calgary Meetup location and the trail-head. You must sign it before you will be allowed to go on this hike.
Your Host may be slow, but he is steady; however, he is a volunteer and not a trained guide. All participants are responsible for assessing the current road conditions, current weather conditions, your current condition , current trail conditions and current avalanche conditions for the trip and you are responsible for your safety and well-being. You are fully prepared with proper gear and you're physically fit to do this hike with the group.
ALL WINTER TRIPS ARE DEPENDENT ON WEATHER CONDITIONS SO THE MORNING OF THE TRIP PLEASE CHECK THE WEBSITE TO MAKE SURE THE TRIP ISN'T CANCELED DUE TO WEATHER CONDITIONS.
