Hoodoos Trail, Banff - Beginners Welcome

  • Mar 23, 2013 · 8:00 AM
  • This location is shown only to members

RSVP's open Sunday March 8 at 7:00 AM. Please do not RSVP No – I only need to know if you are attending.

Until about 2:00PM we will hike depending on conditions. After the hike we will return to Banff and the rest of the time is yours to spend wandering around. Walking around Banff, hiking on nearby paths, shopping, Hot Spring or whatever you prefer. Please be back at the Banff Information Center, 224 Banff Ave, parking at 4:00PM to regroup. After a great day, we will be stopping for a bite to eat.

Please read the entire posting before RSVP'ing to be sure this hike is appropriate for you. Late cancellation or No Show would make the event organizer and other participants not happy.

Note: Our pace will be relaxed; it will not be a race. We will be stopping for great views, photos, rest breaks and the occasional head count. Also, if you cannot stay with the group please refrain from signing up.

Hiker requirements: Healthy enough to complete the hike, good sense of humor and a desire to explore the natural environment. Bring your cheerfulness and sense of humour.

Speed demons need not to apply, unless willing to stay with the group!

Winter trips are dependent on weather conditions and for that reason the morning of the trip please check the website to make sure the trip is not cancelled due to weather conditions.

Please read the following:

Waivers: As per the new policy for waivers, I will bring the group waiver form with me to both the Calgary Meetup location and the trailhead. You must sign it before you will be allowed to go on this hike. You will also be asked to provide the name and phone number of an emergency contact.
