Thanks Doug, I appreciate your efforts in arranging this hike for us. Thanks also for the use of your poles on the steep and icy parts. I'm just wondering what the elevation and distance of this hike was?

    Hi again Doug,

I was not able to see your phone number in your conversation below with Manny (the number might be hidden?). I should be fine tomorrow, but if you do not mind sending me your number, I would probably feel safer:).

    Thanks,

Hi Doug . We don't have the micro spike and pole either . I may able to bring snowshoes. Should we go rent one ? And I live close to a
Westhill area . So it is easier if I go from high way 8 . I think I know where we r going to hike . Please advise . Thanks

Snow shoes are not needed. You can get by without micro spikes I have extra poles that you may borrow. Will see you at the trail head. My # is in Manny's thread.

Hi! I would love to come, just wanted to ask, if anyone knows - how badly are microspikes needed? I know, possibly silly question since they are listed, but... I don't have any, but I have snowshoes.... and poles... What do you think?

    March 29, 2013

    • Candice B.

You will not need snowshoes....unless Doug is taking a different route again. LOL :)

Yay! I'm in then. I don't know what yak tracks are, but based on the name, I love them already. Would love to borrow them if need be :) Now I can throw in - can I get a ride? :) I can meet at that Somerset station - don't know where that is, but google is a fantastic thing.

This will be my first hike with the group (I went to 2 in city walks so far). I wanted to clarify: are we meeting at the Somerset Bridlewood LRT, far East Side Parking lot at 9.00 am or where the hike starts(which is not quite clear to me anyways:))? Doug, could I maybe have your cell phone number? Thanks a lot.

    March 28, 2013

    • Doug R.

We will be meeting at the Somerset LRT and then car pooling out the trail head which is in the mountains. My # is below in Manny's conversation.

    Hi!
I never snowshoed before. Is Mountain coop is a good place to rent the things I need for snowshoeing.
I would drive from lakeview, SW. If anyone needs a ride, you may contact me.
