Midnight Peak's unofficial name comes courtesy of Art Davis, who led a group of Rocky Mountain Ramblers up to it's top on October 21, 1973. Attempting to find another way down, they got hung up above cliffs and didn't get back to their cars until midnight.

- Time: 7 - 8 hours on at a moderate pace, more or less depending on group.
- Location: Hwy. 40 (Kananaskis Trail), trailhead at start of Baldy Pass parking lot.

This is the dark-colored mountain to the south of Baldy Pass. We will be scrambling on moderately steep slopes of scree and broken rock with no exposure. There will be route-finding and several options for our trip. Technically all routes are easy scrambling. This is NOT a hike for beginners. The pace will be moderate.
You must come prepared for this hike with minimum 2L water, food, multiple clothing layers, toque, & mitts, icers (just in case), & poles. A Rock Helmet is mandatory.
Carpool fare will be $15.00 per passenger for this trip.
NO GUESTS, you must be a member to sign up! & Please don't ask to be added to the RSVP's prior to the RSVP date.
Waivers: As per the new policy for waivers, I will bring the group waiver form with me to both the Calgary Meetup location and the trailhead. You must sign it before you will be allowed to go on this event. You will also be asked for the name and phone number of an emergency contact. Please come prepared with this information.
You are fully aware that organizers are not professional guides and you assume all responsibility for your safety and well-being. You are fully prepared with proper gear and you're physically fit to do this event with the group.
