Distance- 11KM return
Elevation Gain- 417 meters
BEGINNER FRIENDLY HIKE
June 15, 2013 8:00pm
Easy hike at a slow and steady pace. No speed demons please. 3.5 km to the summit for fantastic views and then about 2 km or so along the East ridge towards, but not onto, Moose Mountain.
Trailhead is about 17 km south of Hwy 68 along the Powderface Trail.
Elevation gain 417 m to the summit. Height gain or loss along the grassy ridge not anticipated to be that significant although there will be some height gained and lost as we'll be doing four grassy hilltops. We will turn back before the sharp drop off to the fifth col. We will return the way we came for a total distance of about 11 km.
Gas Fees are $15 per passenger.
Please indicate in your RSVP if you are willing to drive and how many passengers you can take. NOTE --- there will be some driving on gravel roads of about 40 km.
