Weekly Slow and Steady Bike Hike -

Fish Creek Park

TO ATTEND: review event details and answer the questions in the RSVP.

Distance: 36 km

Event Directions: East on Canyon Meadows in SE Calgary to Mallard Point Fish Creek Provincial Park

Itinerary: Follow trail system around to Sikome Lake and North to Bow Valley Ranch and then west out to Shanon Terrance and return. We'll grab a Starbucks at the Deer Valley Mall just off Canyon Meadows following our bike hike.

Required Items to Bring:
· Parch Repellant - 2 liters of H2O and snacks
· Road Bike, hybrid or mountain bike - Helmet - mandatory

- tire repair kit &/or spare tube - basic tools
· Dress in layers - you'll warm up & cool down quickly (incl. wind & rain)
· First aid kit

Recommended Items to Bring:
· Money for coffee
· Cell Phone
· Camera

We'll do some Bike Yoga to warm up before the ride...

WAIVERS: Your consent is required for attending this event. You will be asked to provide the name and phone number of an emergency contact. Please read the Waiver by clicking HERE. I will bring the group waiver form with me to the Calgary Meetup location and the trail-head. You must sign it before you will be allowed to go on this hike.

Your Host is a volunteer and not a trained guide. All participants are responsible for assessing the current road conditions, current weather conditions, your current condition, current trail conditions and current avalanche conditions for the trip and you are responsible for your safety and well-being. You are fully prepared with proper gear and you're physically fit to do this hike with the group.

    Considering this ride. Map though points at Canyon Meadow Drive SW not SE. Is this correct? Should it not be the other far end?
    Not familiar with this part of the city.
