Tent Ridge (Easy Scramble Winter Conditions)
This is not a beginners route at this time of year. We tried this one on October 5 the below pictures were of that day. The group never made it over the first summit and I would like to go back and finish it. As well I would venture a guess there will be more snow this time. We will be hiking/scrambling in winter conditions.
Distance: Approx. 11km Return
Duration: Approx. 7-8 hours hiking + 3 hrs driving
Elevation: 780m gain
This lesser-known trail is located near Mount Engadine Lodge in Kananaskis Country and is "one of the most enjoyable ridge walks you will ever take," according to the Gillian Daffern's Kananaskis Country trail guide. This hike traverses the Tent Ridge horseshoe taking in three summits with one section of easy scrambling. Views of Robertson, French, Sir Douglas, Commonweath, Birdwood, Smuts and The Fist are part of the reward. Not to mention Watridge Lake, Marushka (Shark) Lake, Spray Lake, Tryst Lake and the Bryant Creek Valley.
There will be route finding as I have never done this ridge yet.
Be prepared for Winter conditions and a long day out (hiking during night), mud and snow.

Below is the trail around the horse-shoe.
Above is the wildlife one may encounter on the trail. The cub is fairly benign but keep your distance from big one......
